Learn how Building Character classes help build a child's self-confidence and ability to handle challenging or unknown situations quickly with less anxiety.

Acting Classes Build Confidence1. Learning to be Comfortable Making Eye Contact Empowers Kids

Through fun, non-threatening exercises such as "Whoosh and Whoa", "Synchro Clap" and Improvisation, our students learn to feel very comfortable making eye contact. Making eye contact shows confidence and enables trust and is a critical life skill. Students also learn to feel good about being on the receiving end of direct eye-contact as well.

To watch her on stage and not be that girl who cried when someone looked at her is amazing.

My daughter used to have an intense speech delay up until she was almost 5 and she was painfully shy for a long time because of it. To watch her on stage and not be that girl who cried when someone looked at her is amazing. I had to force her to take her 1st Building Character class and now she is hooked and you will never get rid of her:).

Confident stage presence is a skill that can be learned!

Students learn to handle being in front of their peers or large groups speaking confidently. They will be able to deliver book reports without feeling like they are having a heart attack. Later in life they will handle interviews for jobs and promotions with ease.

Helping childen develop the self-confidence they didn’t know they had.

“It wasn’t just about helping these children overcome the fear of being on stage or speaking loud enough for the audience to hear. It was about helping them develop the self-confidence they didn’t know they had or learning to work as a team as they coordinated efforts with so many other. It was a true life lesson that these children would inevitably carry with them for years to come.”

After School Acting/Theater Classes for Kids3. Improvisation Trains You to be Comfortable with the Unexpected, Easing Anxiety

Being able to make eye contact and having a strong stage presence are just two of the important life skills that we work on in our classes.

In our theater and acting classes for kids, students learn to handle challenging or unknown situations quickly and with less anxiety because of their improvisation training. If their power point goes down..they feel powerful in their ability to be able to continue and improvise!

Life-skills taught through theatre!!!

It’s amazing to see how these kids deal with the unpredictability of improv and the mishaps that can happen on the stage.

This should be required learning for every student…it’s such a confidence builder. It’s amazing to see how these kids deal with the unpredictability of improv and the mishaps that can happen on the stage. They learn to just roll with it and trust in their training and abilities. It’s inspiring to watch! It definitely translates into everyday confidence as well. Love it.
